Our Philosophy

The Wellness Studio was created from a very personal place.

With a busy and often demanding schedule, I turned to yoga as a way to calm my mind, reset, and reconnect with myself. It became more than movement — it became space to breathe, think clearly, and simply be.

But I struggled to find the right environment to practise.

In large gyms, the atmosphere often felt rushed and impersonal. Community spaces and halls, while convenient and valuable in many ways, didn’t always provide the dedicated, cosy setting that helped me fully relax and switch off.

I wanted more than just a class.

I wanted a space in Newport where like-minded people could come together. A space that feels warm, welcoming, and intentionally designed for wellbeing. Somewhere you can slow down, feel safe, meet new people, build friendships, and become part of a supportive community.

We also believe wellness should feel personal.

That’s why we intentionally keep our class sizes small — never more than eight people. This allows our teachers to truly see you, support you, and guide you. You’re not just a number in a crowded room; you’re an individual with your own goals, abilities, and journey.

Whether you’re completely new to yoga or Pilates, returning after time away, or deepening an experienced practice, you’ll receive the attention and guidance you need. Our instructors can offer adjustments, encouragement, and tailored support to help you build confidence, progress safely, and achieve your fitness and wellbeing goals.

The Wellness Studio is built on the belief that environment matters. Energy matters. Community matters. And personal connection matters too.

Here, movement is about more than fitness. It’s about empowerment, connection, and creating time for yourself in a world that rarely slows down.

This is a space to breathe.

A space to grow.

A space to belong.
